We collect only the information needed to operate ApexTrophies and provide its core features.

Information you provide directly

• Your PlayStation Network online ID
• Your email address, if you choose to enable email login
• Information you send to us if you contact us directly

Information collected when you use the site

• Session and authentication data stored through strictly functional cookies
• IP address and basic technical information, such as browser type and device information
• Usage activity such as profile views

Information sourced from PlayStation-related data

• Trophy, game, and profile data made available through PlayStation-related APIs or connected systems
• Profile-level data used to calculate Apex Points, leaderboard placement, rarity displays, and related features

We do not currently collect payment card information through ApexTrophies.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to run ApexTrophies as a trophy tracking and ranking service. This includes using information to:

• Verify profile ownership
• Display public profile pages, rankings, and score-related features
• Calculate Apex Points and related rarity-weighted systems
• Sync trophy and game data
• Provide optional account access features such as email login
• Respond to support or legal inquiries
• Maintain platform security, detect abuse, and protect system integrity
• Improve the reliability, accuracy, and quality of the service

We do not currently use your information for targeted advertising.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information in the following limited situations:

• With service providers who help us operate ApexTrophies, such as hosting, authentication, and database infrastructure providers
• When necessary to investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or violations of our Terms
• If required by law, legal process, or a valid government request
• In connection with a business transfer, merger, sale, or reorganization involving ApexTrophies
• With your direction or consent

Public-facing profile information, rankings, and trophy-related data may be visible to other users and visitors as part of the normal operation of the service.

4. Third-Party Services

ApexTrophies relies on third-party infrastructure and data providers to operate. These may include:

• Supabase for authentication, database, and related backend services
• Vercel for hosting and application delivery
• PlayStation-related APIs and data sources for trophy, game, and profile data

These third parties may process certain information as part of providing their services to ApexTrophies.

If ApexTrophies introduces paid features in the future, additional payment processors or billing providers may be used. This Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

ApexTrophies uses cookies and similar technologies for essential site functionality only. This includes:

• Keeping you signed in
• Maintaining session state
• Supporting profile verification and account access
• Helping protect the service against abuse or unauthorized access

ApexTrophies does not currently use third-party advertising cookies, behavioral tracking cookies, or third-party analytics services.

If our cookie practices materially change in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy.

6. Data Retention

We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate ApexTrophies, maintain rankings and profile features, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the integrity of the service.

For example:

• Public profile and trophy-related data may be retained while a profile remains active on the platform
• Email login and authentication data may be retained for account access and security purposes
• Certain technical, security, or audit-related records may be retained for longer where needed to detect abuse, investigate incidents, or comply with legal obligations

Deleting a profile removes it from public visibility. Underlying records related to scoring, rankings, and platform integrity may be retained where necessary to preserve system integrity, audit trails, or legal compliance.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information handled by ApexTrophies.

No system is perfectly secure, and no method of transmission or storage is guaranteed to be completely secure. As a result, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of any accounts or devices you use to access ApexTrophies.

8. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights relating to your personal information, including rights to request access, correction, deletion, or limitation of certain processing.

ApexTrophies provides profile management controls directly through the product, including profile deletion functionality.

You may also contact us at support@apextrophies.org to make a privacy-related request.

We may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests. Some information may be retained where necessary for legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, or platform integrity. Public ranking or trophy-related information may not be removable in every context immediately if necessary to preserve system integrity, backups, or audit records.

9. Children's Privacy

ApexTrophies is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through ApexTrophies, contact us at support@apextrophies.org and we will review the situation.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of the page and may provide additional notice where appropriate.

Your continued use of ApexTrophies after changes take effect means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
